Ukraine has officially permitted Poland to resume exhumation works. Polish Radio reported that citing Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Vasyl Bodnar.

It is pointed in the message that Poland made a formal request for resumption of exhume last week.

It is mentioned that, according to the conditions, provided by the Ukrainian side, the exhumations should be held by Ukrainian researchers jointly with Polish experts.

As we reported earlier, Ukraine and Poland had had to cooperate on the question of the exhumation of the citizens who died in World War II and during the post-war period, as Pavlo Klimkin, the former Ukraine's Foreign Minister.

“My position is simple. We have to work on the exhumation question together to trust each other. We convinced the Polish side that we have to start it in Hruszowice. It was important for us as the monument was destroyed. And when the local government inset the stones of the monument into the rod, it was not only politically unacceptable, it was emotionally unacceptable,” Klimkin said.
