Ukraine paid 2,1 million dollars as compensation for a part of Russia's legal costs in the case of return of state debt out of 3 billion dollars required by Russia. This is reported on the website of Finance Ministry of Russia.

"Thus, Ukraine fulfilled the decision of the High Court of London to compensate for part of the legal costs incurred by the Russian side," the Finance Ministry said.

The Ministry of Finance specified that company The Law Debenture Corporation PLC, representing interests of the Russian Federation confirmed the receipt of a payment from Ukraine in the amount of 1,16 million pounds sterling.

As it was reported earlier The High Court in London was hearing on the case of Yanukovych’s debt. Representatives of the Russian Federation require debt repayment, with interest, as well as judicial and legal expenses. Russian lawyers argue that the protection of Ukraine justification is not enough and it is not suitable for the hearing, so it is not necessary to carry out the trial.
