Ukraine owes World Health Organization (WHO) $26 million. This was reported by Volodymyr Groysman, Prime Minister of Ukraine, during the government’s conference in Verkhovna Rada on Friday, May 26, according to NewsONE.

Head of Government commented on Ukraine’s debt answering the question of MP from Opposition Bloc, who wanted to clarify why Ukraine did not pay the required fees for membership of the organization (as a result of which Ukraine was also deprived of the right to vote at the WHO General Assembly).

"What was the reason? Simple case. There was $4 thousand left at the government’s account in 2014 after "economic" Ukrainians… Maybe these questions had lower priorities," Groysman explained.

As it was reported earlier, according to WHO, Ukraine was ranked 44th by the number of homicides per 100 thousand people.
