Ukraine has offered to hold an extraordinary session of the Trilateral Contact Group (TCG) due to the holding of the so-called elections in occupied Donbas. Iryna Gerashchenko, First Vice Speaker of the Vekhovna Rada and representative of Ukraine in TCG, reported this on Facebook.

“The Ukrainian side in TGK sent an official note with the offer to hold an extraordinary session of the group due to the holding of the fake “elections” in Donbas. We insist on the trilateral format of the negotiations with the participation of Ukraine-Russia-OSCE. Now we already have the answer of the OSCE representatives who support the initiative, and they are ready to gather the session at any moment, in other words, two sides of the TGC: Ukraine and OSCE are ready for the meeting. Russia is silent, any response, obviously, it celebrates the “results’ of the puppet elections in the midst,” she wrote.

As is known, the so-called elections took place in the occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions November 11. The voters elected the leaders of 'people's republics' and their representatives in the parliaments of the 'republics.'

It was reported that Leonid Pasechnyk was chosen as the "head" of the self-proclaimed republic at the illegal "elections" in the separate parts of Luhansk regions (Luhansk People's Republic, LPR). Denis Pushilin was "elected" as the head of the territory of Donetsk region occupied by the pro-Russian militants (Donetsk People's Republic, DPR).

Ukraine, the U.S., and the EU unanimously condemned the voting, considering it illegitimate.

Besides, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko urged Ukrainians living in occupied Donbas not to vote at the fake elections on November 11. The EU has already condemned the "elections" in Donbas and urged Russia to influence the separatists supported by it.
