Hungary continues blocking Ukraine - NATO Summit at a high-level due to the fact that the session will not be conducted within NATO Summit in Brussels on July 11-12, as Ivanna Klympush-Tsintsadze, Vice-Prime-Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine, said, Interfax-Ukraine reports.
“Unfortunately, the session of Ukraine-NATO Commission at the level of the heads and governments of the states will not be held during the Summit session,” she stated.
Klympush-Tsintsadze stressed that due to Hungary’s blockage, it will probably be difficult to carry out the session of Ukraine - NATO Commission in the nearest future.
Besides, she said that the Ukraine – Georgia – NATO session would be held within the summit. A discussion on the countering threats with the Alliance member-states is to be carried out.
As it was reported earlier, on June 22, Szijjarto claimed that Hungary will not support the relations between Ukraine and NATO until Ukraine does not fulfill the recommendations of the Venice Commission on the language article of the law "On education".
Earlier Kay Bailey Hutchison, the U.S. Permanent Representative to NATO claimed that NATO is interested in the membership of Ukraine in the alliance.
