Ukraine might leave “green” quarantine zone in September

Head of the Economy Center of Kyiv School of Economics Yuriy Hanichenko predicts that Ukraine will leave the “green” quarantine zone soon as 24 TV channel reported.

According to him, the risk of the outbreak is high and it is increasing.

“We expect that in the first half of September, Ukraine seems to leave the “green” level and we will see the colored regions with different levels of the epidemic safety again,” Hanichenko underlined.

He explained that such a situation can take place due to the decrease of control over the spread of the incidence. The so-called “coefficient of the exposing of cases” is responsible for it; in other words, how many tests are positive.

As of now, over 3% are positive. If Ukraine reaches 4% it will mark the withdrawal from the “green” zone of the epidemic danger.

As we reported, 1,581 new cases of coronavirus were confirmed in Ukraine during the past 24 hours. Particularly, 45 patients died reported.

Besides, the WHO has stated that all theories about the origin of Covid-19 outbreak, including the possibility of laboratory leakage, remain in force.
