A lockdown may be introduced in Ukraine in November. This was announced by Chief Sanitary Doctor Ihor Kuzin in an interview with BBC Ukraine.

"According to the scenario we are currently moving towards, a new lockdown can be introduced around November," Kuzin said.

The Sanitary Doctor noted that the decision on the lockdown is made by local authorities. However, according to Kuzin, if the situation worsens, a lockdown across the country could be introduced at the national level.

According to Kuzin, there is currently a worsening of the situation in all regions, but so far the eastern and western regions of Ukraine suffer the most, there are slightly more patients than in other areas.

Earlier it was reported that the number of infected with the Covid Delta strain in Ukraine has increased 3.5 times in two weeks.

For the past day, 1,581 cases of infection were registered in Ukraine, 45 more patients have died.
