Volodymyr Groysman, the Prime Minister of Ukraine and UN Children’s Fund (UNICEF) signed the Memorandum on joining of Ukraine to the world initiative ‘Community friendly to children and youth’ on March 29.
‘And today we open new possibilities for the creation of the conditions for the development and self-fulfillment of the children and youth in the Ukrainian communities’, Groysman said.
He thanked UNICEF and UNFPA for the support and such initiative.
Giovanna Barberis, the representative of the UNICEF in Ukraine noted that the joining to the initiative will allow Ukraine to effectively protect the rights of the children and youth.
The initiative ‘Community friendly to children and youth’ works since 1996 and the municipalities of more than 30 countries of the world attracted to it.
Earlier UNICEF claimed that it plans to introduce the support program for youth initiatives in Ukraine starting from 2018.
