The state has prepared an energy system to provide Ukrainians electricity and heat in the global energy crisis, President Volodymyr Zelensky stated in a video message to Ukrainians, which was published by his press-service on November 15.
"First of all, the state has prepared nuclear energy. In recent weeks, two additional units have been launched: at Rivne and Zaporizhzhya NPPs. Another unit of the Zaporizhzhya NPP will be launched in the coming weeks - by the end of November," the President said.
The President urged citizens not to believe media reports about threats to turn off the lights.
As it was reported earlier, mayor of Kyiv Vitaly Klitschko warned inhabitants of the capital about a threat of fan power outages in the city.
However, Prime Minister Denys Shmygal urged Ukrainians not to worry about the possibility of power outages - nuclear power units will operate at full capacity.
