Ukraine will not engage in any direct talks to legitimize illegal armed groups from "DPR" and "LPR". This was reported by Iryna Gerashchenko, the President's Humanitarian Envoy at the Minsk peace talks, current First Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada, on her Facebook page.

"Ukrainian State is being forced into direct talks with militants from Donbas to legitimize them, they are actually trying to initiate direct talks along the Minsk process without Russian Federation and OSCE. Of course, such step makes the work of Ukrainian delegation in Minsk even more complex, and I mean all groups, not only humanitarian, but the ones related to security, economy, policy. But there will be no direct engagement and legitimization of bandits. No matter which ugly scenarios Kremlin tries to use in this hybrid war against Ukraine," Gerashchenko wrote.
