The transit of Russian gas to Europe and through Moldova to Ukraine in January-November 2016 amounted to 73.5 billion cubic meters, which is more than last year for 22.3%. This is illustrated by PJSC Ukrtransgaz information.
The company expects to reach 80 billion cubic meters by the end of this year.
The index in November 2016 is on 46% higher than in November of last year - 8.5 billion cubic meters.
Thus, Ukraine goes back to the parameters of 2010-2013 seasons. In 2015 Ukraine increased the transit by 7.9% compared with the period after the fall in 2014.
As you know, 100% of Ukrtransgaz belongs to Naftogaz Ukraine. At the same time Naftogaz Ukraine has stopped gas imports from Russia the year, but it remains the largest transporter of Russian gas to European consumers.
Yesterday it was reported that Naftogaz and Gazprom talk to resume gas supplies. A year passed since Naftogaz Ukraine has stopped gas import from Russia.
