There are no small, medium or big nations in Ukraine; Ukrainian nation is in Ukraine. Ukraine’s Parliament Speaker Dmytro Razumkov commented statement of Russia’s State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin about the possible withdrawal of a number of regions from Ukraine as 112 Ukraine reported.
“Concerning yesterday's events, which also took place, is the statement of the speaker of State Duma of Russia, which was announced on the weekends. I think it cannot be left without reaction of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, us. I would like to note that there are no small, medium or big nations in Ukraine; Ukrainian nation is in Ukraine. Yes, it is multinational, yes, it can speak different languages but it is unified, it is a unified state,” Razumkov said.
He assured that Ukraine will remain integral.
“And I would like to assure everyone that if someone hopes that some territories will fall off, depart, get lost then it is just dreams. And we, as the state, we, as the Verkhovna Rada, will assume the maximum of efforts to unite and consolidate the society around the topics, which will, again, unite. But it is not the simple way and today all segments of the population, all power bodies should concentrate on it,” the speaker of the parliament said.
Earlier Vyacheslav Volodin accused Ukraine of nationalism and oppression of ethnic groups. Thus, the State Duma representative responded to the attempt of the Ukrainian delegation to disrupt the speech of the pro-Russian representative of Crimea at the UN forum.
As we reported, Russia has several plans or scenarios regarding Donbas; they include the referendum on the re-integration of territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions, as well as the revival of 'Novorossiya' project
