EU Ambassador to Ukraine Hugues Mingarelli spoke about the priorities for the new Ukrainian government and urged not to associate the country only with negative things such as corruption. The French diplomat said it in an interview with the European Truth agency.

According to the ambassador, there is a list of priorities for the new Ukrainian authorities, including the land reform, further decentralization, energy market and the reform of law enforcement agencies.

The ambassador expressed his opinion about the corruption in Ukraine; Mingarelli believes that one should not attach this word to Ukraine.

“Ukraine now has a terrible image. You yourself have to stop associating your country with negative things, such as “corruption, corruption and all around corruption". Ukraine is actually much more attractive than the image of it now,” the diplomat said.
