“We are at the third wave of the coronavirus disease. We observe how hard it is and the number of cases that we face daily but at the same time we can state that we have got through the peak of incidence. If we compare figures of incidence of the last and before last weeks, we have almost 13.500 less infected. The same situation is observed with hospitalized persons – 3,500 people less,” the minister said.
Stepanov noted that 12 regions of Ukraine stay in the ‘red’ zone of the epidemic danger. The most difficult situation is in Kyiv (almost 75% of beds with oxygen are occupied), as well as in Kyiv (70%), Odesa (73%), Sumy (69.5%), Mykolaiv and Kharkiv regions.
Meanwhile, the minister added that it is too early to relax and neglect the rules of the epidemic safety. He reminded that mass events can lead to the incidence of attendants and risk their life and health.
As we reported, 8,940 new cases of coronavirus were confirmed in Ukraine. Particularly, 414 children and 251 medics got infected.
