Ukraine, Germany agree on holding of session of high level group in Berlin

On November 28, in Berlin, the 10th session of the Ukrainian-German group of the high level will take place. Petro Poroshenko, President of Ukraine, and German Chancellor Angela Merkel agreed about this during the negotiations in Kyiv as 112 Ukraine reported.

"The turnover is growing between our countries. Today we have agreed on the holding of the session on November 28 in Berlin. I am sure that this session along with the third Ukrainian-German economic forum will promote the further consolidation of the increasing dynamics of the cooperation of Ukraine and Germany," Poroshenko claimed.

Earlier Merkel claimed that the local elections in Donbas, currently prepared by the Russian mercenaries, are not in line with the spirit of Minsk agreements.

Besides, Merkel stated that Germany will advocate for the extension of the sanctions against Russia.

It was also reported that the lawmakers from the socialists, democrats, and greens fraction of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) plan to visit the east of Ukraine on November 1 to figure out the situation with the security and working conditions of the OSCE SMM.
