Ukraine gains 18 more positions at Digital Quality of Life Index 2021

Ukraine takes 47th place

In a year, Ukraine has risen by 18 positions and reached 47th place according to the Digital Quality of Life Index 2021 (DQL) by Surfshark. The country is situated near the Philippines and Serbia.

DQL index is based on the results of the research that covered 110 world countries and 90% of the world population. The experts of Surfshark assessed countries according to the next five criteria: internet affordability and quality, electronic infrastructure, electronic security, and electronic government.

It was noted that Ukraine shows high rates in affordability of internet (28th place) and cyber security (25th place); however, it also shows quite low results in the electronic government sphere (61st place), electronic infrastructure (42nd place), and quality of internet (68th place).

Denmark took first place in the rating; South Korea is the second; while Finland is the third.

As we reported, since the beginning of 2021, Ukraine’s index of peacefulness has grown the most among 136 countries: by 7.6% compared to 2020. This is reported in the annual Global Peace Index report, published by the London Institute for Economics and Peace.
