Four helicopters for rescuers Airbus Helicopters will be delivered from France to Ukraine by the end of 2018. This was provided by the intergovernmental agreement between the countries, the second stage of which was signed by Ukrainian Interior Minister and Secretary of State to the French Minister for the Economy and Finance Delphine Gény-Stephann. This was reported by Ukraine’s Interior Minister Arsen Avakov on Twitter.
“I have signed on behalf of the government the second stage of the agreement on the purchase of Airbus Helicopters together with the Secretary of State to the French Minister for the Economy and Finance Delphine Gény-Stephann. By the end of 2018 we will receive 4, and in total – 55 of modern helicopters and the service center for them in Ukraine,” Avakov said.
As it was reported earlier, president Petro Poroshenko reported that Ukraine would buy new helicopters for rescuers from France. In particular, the countries’ representatives signed a statement on intentions on March 23. He also promised that the state will offer the significant support of the rescuers for the improvement of their work efficiency. It was reported, that Ukraine will get 55 Airbus Helicopters for the needs of the Interior Ministry within the cooperation.
The State Emergency Service, the National Guard, the National Police and State Border Guard Service will get new helicopters. According to Interior Ministry, the helicopters will be of three models, H125 for the work in the high mountains, H145 for wok in the hot climate and H225 with the highest indexes of the speed, flight distance and carrying capacity.
