The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has extended the state of emergency and adaptive quarantine in Ukraine until October 1, 2021. This decision was made during a">government meeting.
"The current epidemic situation is fully under control, but, unfortunately, experts are beginning to record the first negative trends in the number of hospitalizations and critically ill patients. Therefore, given the current situation, the government today adopts a resolution extending the emergency and adaptive quarantine until October 1," Denys Shmygal said.
The government is preparing hospitals, and the number of beds with oxygen supply is now almost 100%. In addition, 15,000 oxygen concentrators were purchased separately, which will allow treating Ukrainians on an outpatient basis.
Adaptive quarantine has been introduced in Ukraine since February 24. According to him, the regions are divided into "green," "yellow," "orange" and "red" zones, where quarantine restrictions depend on the epidemic situation there.
On August 11 it was reported that the Minister of Health Viktor Lyashko considers possible introduction of privileges during a lockdown for vaccinated against a coronavirus. According to him, even if a "red" level of danger is declared in the region, certain institutions will still be allowed to operate, such as schools, if the teaching staff is vaccinated by more than 80%.
