Ukraine expects U.S., NATO to support enhancing defence capacity, - Ambassador

Ukraine’s Ambassador to the U.S. Valeriy Chaly stated that Ukraine expected NATO and the U.S. to provide assistance in increasing the defence capacity, as Chastime reported.

“We expect continuing support (from the U.S. and NATO, - ed.) in enhancing our defene capacity. We expect the development of specific energy and energy security projects,” the Ambassador said.

He added that this was conditioned by the fact that Russia was a threat not only for Ukraine but also for the EU and the U.S.

As is known, the U.S. defence budget in 2019 provides $250 million for Ukraine.
