Ukraine's Ministry of Health expects an increase in the incidence of coronavirus soon due to the New Year holidays. Health Minister of Ukraine Maksym Stepanov said this in an interview with reporters, as RBC-Ukraine writes.
Stepanov emphasized that a spike in the incidence may occur due to the large gathering of people during the holidays.
"We expect an increase in the number of sick people in connection to the New Year's celebration. The opening of the trees, whether people adhere to the established rules - all this will lead to an increase in the number of sick people in the near future. We are talking about fairs, events related to the New Year," Stepanov said.
Earlier, it was reported that Ukraine’s main Christmas tree will remain available to citizens. It was lit in Kyiv on December 19 online.
