President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, President of the European Council Charles Michel and President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen have begun the meeting of the 23rd EU-Ukraine Summit, which is taking place in Kyiv as the President’s Office reported.
It is noted that in the morning the heads of the institutions of the European Union arrived at the Mariinsky Palace, where they were greeted by the head of the Ukrainian state. They talked before the start of the event.
Within the summit, it is planned to sign a number of agreements between Ukraine and the European Union. A joint statement will be adopted based on its results.
The President of Ukraine, the President of the European Council and the President of the European Commission will also make statements for media representatives following the meeting.
Earlier, Prime Minister Denys Shmygal stated that during the next week's EU-Ukraine summit, the sides will discuss the update of duty tariffs and quotes and Europe's energy security.
