The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry denied the information published by the Independent about the plans of US President Joe Biden to talk with his Ukrainian counterpart Vladimir Zelensky before the dialogue with Russian leader Vladimir Putin as Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba stated.
“The President spoke with the US Secretary of State, indeed, the conversation ended an hour ago, after Biden’s conversation with Putin takes place, we will also find out what was discussed. That is, further there will be contacts at a high and high level. In this regard, we have established a very frank, dynamic, and trusting dialogue from the United States,” Kuleba noted.
He called false reports of a possible conversation between Biden and Zelensky before negotiations with Putin. The minister added that Zelensky was planning to have a conversation with Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, and then a conversation between the presidents.
The Independent, citing its sources, wrote that US President Joe Biden will hold talks with Zelensky and allies before the planned video call with Putin.
