Melnyk believes that Germany should abandon the "morally false policy" of blocking arms supplies.
"Ukraine demands that the new German government abandon the morally false policy of blocking and immediately provide Kyiv with defense weapons to defend against Russian aggression," he said.
Melnyk also noted that Germany bears "historical responsibility" to Ukraine.
Meanwhile, France and Germany will initiate another Normandy format meeting in the next few weeks. President of the French Republic Emmanuel Macron announced this today in Paris during a press conference following a meeting with the European Commission to present the priorities of the French presidency of the EU for the next six months.
“We will offer our common view on the architecture of European security, and we are already doing this in the current situation, for example, in the case of Ukraine. This is the Normandy format. With Chancellor Scholz (Federal Chancellor of Germany Olaf Scholz - ed.) we will held another meeting in the coming weeks. The geopolitical situation in the region requires that Europe and the EU offer their vision, act and sit down at the negotiating table with all participants in order to move forward in these key directions," Macron said.
