Ukraine started conducting talks with “white Schengen” states to establish a visa-free regime with them, as Serhiy Menyaylo, Deputy Head of Consular Service Management of the Foreign Ministry Department of Consular Service, stated, UNN reports.

The white Shenzhen zone states are those which have the visa-free regime with the European Union. Apart from Ukraine, 61 states are included in this list.

Ukraine’s Government is conducting talks with them to get a right for the visa-free admission for Ukrainians.

“We offer this on a reciprocal basis. We ask for the visa-free regime so the geography of visa-free travels of Ukrainian citizens could get wider. Not only the EU and Shenzhen zone states  - these are, as I have already said, Uruguay, Peru, Columbia, Mexico, Seychelles, Bahama Islands, Antigua and Barbuda, Macedonia, Albania – the list is quite long. And with all the countries we have a different level of the dialogue, but we are trying to reach results with each,” Menyaylo said.

In particular, the agreement with the four states of Latin America - Uruguay, Peru, Columbia and Mexico – might be concluded soon.

For today, Ukrainian citizens can visit 85 countries without visa.

Earlier, the visa-free regime with Kuwait was introduced and an agreement with Qatar was signed. Besides, talks with South Korea are being conducted.
