Ukraine condemns Russia's aggression in Georgia

Ukraine’s MFA condemned Russia’s war against Georgia which began on August 7, 2008, as the statement of the establishment dedicated to the 11th anniversary of Russia’s armed aggression against Georgia reports.

“Ukraine’s MFA condemned war against Georgia started by Russia on August 7, 2008, continuing illegal occupation of sovereign territories of Georgia in Abkhazia, and Tskhinvali region/South Ossetia and steps of Russian occupation regime towards its actual annexation,” the message reads.

The establishment confirmed its support of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Georgia. It also informed that it would support peace initiative of Georgia’s Government.

“These days, we are mourning for war victims, paying tribute to their memory and we share the pain of irreparable losses with the Georgian nation,” the body reported.
