The government of Ukraine made a decision to close the state border for foreigners from India, where the catastrophic situation with coronavirus spread is observed as Chief Sanitary Doctor of Ukraine Viktor Lyashko reported.

“The government of Ukraine made a decision on the ban of the crossing of the state border from 00:00, May 2, for foreigners and stateless persons coming from India and people who stay in the territory of India at least seven days during the past 14 days,” Lyashko said.

Meanwhile, the citizens of Ukraine, foreigners, and stateless persons who permanently/temporarily live in the territory of Ukraine or spouses/children of the citizens of Ukraine should pass two-week isolation after arrival from India independently of the PCR test result.

Lyashko noted that 903,000 new cases of Covid-19 were registered in the world over 24 hours. Only in India, almost 400,000 new cases took place.

India shows the record-breaking rates of incidence and death from Covid-19 for the seventh day in a row.

As we reported, 130 people received the whole course of immunization on April 30. 73,376 people got the first dose of the vaccine against coronavirus in Ukraine during the past 24 hours.
