Ukraine has gotten very close to finishing up the negotiations on mutual recognition of documents and visa-free regime with South Korea, as Ukraine’s Interior Minister Arsen Avakov wrote on Facebook.
“Do we need a visa-free regime with the 11th economy of the world? A rhetoric question! I am very happy that we managed to get very close to signing an agreement on this issue,” he wrote.
Avakov emphasized that during the visit to Seoul, the delegation of the Interior Ministry discussed a number of key questions on cooperation.
“In the meeting with the Interior Minister, the Commissioner-General of the Police, head of the Presidential Council, we’ve done our work for finalizing the negotiations on mutual recognition of personal documents of citizens, driving licenses, and visa-free regime for citizens of Ukraine,” he wrote.
He also noted the “high motivation and interest of Korea in cooperating with Ukraine”, including in such spheres as industry, space programmes, infrastructure, and agriculture.
