Since Sunday, November 1, the procedure for issuing electronic visas has been changed in Ukraine. The government adopted the corresponding initiative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA), the press service of the Foreign Ministry reports.
Among the main innovations the department names the following:
- the applicant will be able to choose the desired procedure for issuing an e-visa: regular or urgent procedure (with a doubling of the tariff rate in case of an urgent procedure);
- e-visas will be issued much faster: urgent processing will take only 1 day, and the usual procedure will take up to 3 days;
- in addition to the existing single e-visa, a new type of visa will appear: an e-visa for double entry;
- differentiated tariff rates of the consular fee will be significantly reduced: instead of $ 85 for a single e-visa, now the consular fee for a single e-visa will be $ 20, for a double one - $ 30.
As we reported earlier, e-visas in Ukraine have been issued since 2018. Initially, they costed $ 65, but since last January their price have risen to $ 85.
