President of Estonia Kersti Kaljulaid believes that Ukraine cannot become NATO member until it returns all occupied territories as European Truth reported.

“Estonia supports the Membership Action Plan and approach of Ukraine with NATO but it is unclear when it will become possible. We need to wait until the turn of history,” Kersti Kaljulaid noted.

When she was asked whether the restoration of the control over the whole territory is the condition for Ukraine’s accession to NATO, Kaljulaid said: “Absolutely! The solutions are needed (of the conflict). I hope through the talks. Sooner or later”.

As we reported, President of Estonia Kersti Kaljulaid believes that Ukraine needs another 20 years of work to obtain EU membership. At the same time, she noted that the European Union should be braver regarding the issue of enlargement.

Earlier, Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Ukraine was worthy of NATO membership.
