Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Health, Medical Care and Medical Insurance and Servant of the People MP Mykhailo Radutsky said on the air of Ukraine 24 that no region Ukraine would be able to avoid the red quarantine zone.
According to the parliamentarian, as of today, over 9,000 cases of Covid-19 are detected on the daily basis, and the outbreaks of various respiratory diseases, including flu, mostly tend to occur in the fall.
“This year, the concept of adaptive quarantine was introduced. It makes no sense to transfer the whole country to the red zone. [The territory in a red zone] can be an area, a city or a region, depending on the local commissions’ decisions. If indicators determine the orange or red zone - it will already be in place. In total, Ukraine is in a yellow quarantine zone. Unfortunately, we will not be able to avoid red and orange zones,” Radutsky said.
As it was reported earlier, the current wave of incidence with coronavirus in Ukraine will grow in Ukraine. At the beginning of October 2021, the number of newly infected persons will increase to 10,000 cases per day.
