Free Trade Agreement between Ukraine and Canada will take force form August 1, according to the government note of Canada directed to Ukrainian Embassy. This was reported by Ukraine’s Ambassador to Canada Andry Shevchenko in Facebook.
"Free trade between Ukraine and Canada will start on August 1. Canada made a present to us on the Constitution day. We received a government note on the completion of all internal procedures for the enforcement of the Free Trade Agreement. We have a mixed feeling: finish and start - two in one This is a historic moment that sums up the enormous stratum of work of our diplomats and politicians, but this is also the beginning of a much more significant stage, - the time to fill this Agreement with life - contracts, jobs and investments, "he noted.
As it was reported earlier Ukraine informed Canada about completion of FTA ratification. The Senate of Canada has yet to approve the documents for it to take force.
