Ukraine and Belarus are planning to resume cooperation in transport communication, in particular the countries are interested in resuming river traffic on Dnieper. This was announced by Ukraine’s President Petro Poroshenko during the talks with media with Belorussian President Alexander Lukashenko on air of 112 Ukraine TV channel.

“We believe that further development of cooperation in the field of railway, road, water and transport communication to be promising. There is a mutual interest in the resumption of river communication on the Dnieper and set specific tasks for our ministers and commissions. Shortly, we will receive relevant proposals, including with the possible involvement of our European partners,” Poroshenko said.

As it was reported earlier negotiations with Lukashenko were frank, according to Ukrainian President. Lukashenko said that the negotiations were trustworthy.
