The batch production of Vilkha missile complex will begin in Ukraine, as “Uriadovy Kurier” reported citing Ukraine’s Defense Minister Stepan Poltorak.
“In December we got the additional resource, $141,46 million for the purchase of the new samples of the weapon and hardware. We begin the batch production of the Vilkha missile complex. The development in many other projects continues and they will increase our capacities,” Defense Minister said.
Vilkha missile complex is produced by Luch design studio (Kyiv). All elements of Vilkha made in Ukraine, including the new control system, rocket fuel, and explosive part. One of its peculiarities is the system of missile control, which provides the correction of the missile’s flight using the impulse engines. The missile could bear the explosive parts depending on their purpose.
As we reported on April 10, the state testing of new Vilkha missile system has begun in Odesa region, Southern Ukraine.
On December 22, 2017, the Armed Forces of Ukraine held the successful trial of the Vilkha missile system.
