In 2017, 1,500 foreigners were barred from entering Ukraine, including hundreds of artists, the press centre of the State Border Guard Service informs. As Ukraine doesn’t recognize the annexation of Crimea, entering the peninsula through non-Ukrainian territory is a violation of state borders of Ukraine.

During 2017, almost 2,300 administrative protocols were drawn up for violating the order of entering the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine, and almost 1,500 decisions to ban individuals from entering Ukraine were issued. 810 people are currently under suspicion of this violation.

Moreover, since the beginning of 2018, 30 people have already been charged with unlawful entry to the peninsula.
