The Ukrainian delegation at the Trilateral Contact Group plans to raise the issue of the murder of three Ukrainian detainees in the colony in the occupied territory of the Donetsk region as Dim TV channel reported citing representative of the Ukrainian delegation Tetiana Ivanova.
“It is a big tragedy; it is citizens of Ukraine. Even if a person committed a crime, it does not mean that he/she is deprived or defeated in all other civilian rights. Moreover, that this person is deprived of freedom. It is necessary to fight for these people too,” she said.
She also noted that the Ukrainian delegation will offer to include detainees in occupied Donbas in the list of the prisoners’ exchange.
As we reported, three convicted citizens of Ukraine were killed in Kirovska Correctional Colony #33 on the territory of the so-called Donetsk People's Republic. This was announced by the adviser to the head of the Ukrainian delegation in the Trilateral Contact Group Haide Rizayeva.
The name of two killed prisoners are Yevhen Sotnykov and Oleksandr Davydov.
