Azerbaijan and Ukraine intend to discuss the question of extending military and technical cooperation. This was reported by the ambassador of Ukraine in Baku Oleksandr Mishchenko in his comments for Interfax-Azerbaijan.
“Soon we will hold a meeting of intergovernmental commission on military technical cooperation. A big delegation will go to Baku. Deep cooperation in military and technical cooperation sphere is the indicator of relations,” Mishchenko said.
If in early 90th of the past century Ukraine helped Azerbaijan in military sphere and today Kyiv turns to Baku for some types of weaponry supplies, according to the ambassador.
“Military and technical has always been one of the main components of our cooperation. Today we turn to Azerbaijan for help in supplying of some types of military weaponry,” he noted.
Earlier it was reported that NATO military committee unanimously supports Ukraine, according to Muzhenko. Chief of General Staff of Ukraine’s Armed Forces said this after today’s joint session in Brussels.
