Ukraine has approved a list of international specialized organizations and their representative offices that procure goods, works, and services for defense purposes. The relevant decision was made during a government meeting.
"To approve the attached list of international specialized organizations, their representative offices that procure goods, works, and services for defense purposes," the government act reads.
According to the explanatory note, the implementation of the act will not affect the market environment, protection of the rights and interests of business entities, citizens, and the state, etc.
The list of international specialized organizations, according to the appendix to the resolution, includes:
- NATO Communications and Information Agency;
- NATO Support and Procurement Agency;
- US Government Foreign Military Sales Program.
As it was reported earlier, in 2020, Ukraine increased the expenses on defense - despite the pandemic of coronavirus. Within one year-term, Ukraine climbed one rank up - from 35th to 34th place. The experts estimated the overall amount of money that Ukraine spent on defense in 2020 as of 5.9 billion U.S. dollars.
