More than 1.6 million doses of coronavirus vaccines have already been delivered to Ukraine. However, more deliveries are expected in May and, accordingly, an increase in the daily number of vaccinated people. This was stated by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal.
“In general, the number of vaccines already delivered to Ukraine has reached more than 1.6 million doses. As promised, the vaccination campaign is accelerating. This week we managed to reach more than 70,000 vaccinations per day. In May, we expect more deliveries and, accordingly, an increase in the daily number of vaccinated people," Shmyhal wrote.
He stressed that 500,000 doses of CoronaVac vaccine against coronavirus infection arrived in Ukraine. The drug was distributed among people with limited mobility, social workers and teachers.
As we reportd earlier, Ukraine's Health Ministry updated the list of regions in the Covid-19 quarantine zones. Seven Ukrainian regions are now in the 'red' zone of coronavirus epidemic risks.
In particular, Zhytomyr, Zaporizhia, Poltava, Sumy, Kharkiv, Khmelnytsky, and Chernihiv regions remain in this quarantine zone.
