Ukraine spends almost 6% of the GDP for strengthening the defence capabilities, President Petro Poroshenko said during a panel discussion at the Munich Security Conference on Feb. 16, Interfax-Ukraine reports.
“The progress of Ukraine wouldn’t have been possible without our partners. You multiply our achievements on the way to reforms through such initiatives as the European plan for Ukraine. And strengthen the defence capabilities of Ukraine. And, returning to this discussion, at the moment we direct almost 6% of our GDP to security and defence,” he said.
As we reported earlier, Ukraine’s state budget for 2018 was developed forecasting 3% GDP growth.
