Tymchuk had depression, drank and threatened to kill himself, - wife

The assistant of parliamentarian was the first person a wife of MP Dmytro Tymchuk informed about his death

Partner wife of MP Dmytro Tymchuk told police that on the day of his death, the man had depression and he shot himself. It is stated in the materials of the case.

“He took the gun and started to threaten to shoot himself. The partner wife tried to talk him out of committing suicide. However, at about 12 p.m. Tymchuk shoot himself to death.”

At the moment of shooting his wife was with him in the room.

According to her, the MP had been abusing alcohol lately. On the day of his death, he started to drink in the morning, refused to go to work and was depressed. In conversations, he spoke of his willingness to commit suicide.

A woman told a friend and the assistant of the parliamentarian about the incident.

She is not aware of his conflicts and or debts of Tymchuk.  

As it was reported earlier, a farewell ceremony with Ukrainian MP Dmytro Tymchuk was held in Kyiv on June 22.

On June 19 Ukrainian MP from National Front faction Dmytro Tymchuk shot himself while cleaning a gun.

Police opened a criminal proceeding on the case of death of Ukrainian MP Dmytro Tymchuk under the article “Premeditated murder”. Generally, police consider three lines of inquiry: murder, suicide or negligent handling of weapons.
