In Cherkasy region, two women organized a scheme of forgery of Covid certificates. The fraudsters demanded $188 for forged documents. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Finance.
“Cyberpolice together with the Ministry of Justice exposed a resident of Cherkasy region, who together with her acquaintance organized a scheme of forgery of Covid-certificates,” the statement reads.
It is noted that the women in the messengers offered to obtain an international Covid-certificate without vaccination. For $188, the nurse promised to enter information about vaccinations in the electronic register. However, the woman deliberately made mistakes when making these clients so that they would not appear in the Diya application. At the same time, she issued paper certificates certified by her own seal.
Currently, law enforcement officers are identifying people who have used the services of fraudsters.
On this fact criminal proceedings have been instituted under p. 3 of Art. 362 (“Unauthorized actions with information processed in computers, automated systems, computer networks or stored on the media of such information, committed by a person who has the right to access it”) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
