On July 7, USS Mount Whitney, an American Navy flagship, entered the Black Sea to participate in the joint Ukrainian-American exercise Sea Breeze-2018, as the press office of the Sixth Fleet of American Navy reports.
“The USS Mount Whitney is excited to return to the Black Sea. We look forward to working with our partners in the region to build relationships that promote peace and economic stability in the region and the globe. Mount Whitney's presence will assure our partners and allies of our commitment to maritime security and shared interests,” Robert Aguilar, the captain of the sip, said.
As it is noted, on July 6 USS Porter, American Fleet battleship, entered the Black Sea as well.
Romanian and Turkish Navy ships, Moldavian and Georgian sea soldiers and special forces from Britain and Canada will also arrive in Ukraine.
Earlier, on July 6 the operations planning course under NATO standards controlled by the instructors of the British Royal Navy within the preparation plan to Sea Breeze-2018 was over in Ukraine‘s Naval Forces. Sea Breeze-2018 exercise will take place in July 2018 in Odesa and Mykolaiv regions and in the north-west part of the Black Sea.
