Two Ukrainians detained at administrative border with Crimea in Kherson region

Two people were detained at the administrative border with Crimea in Kherson region. They are on the federal wanted list as Krym.Realii reported citing Russia’s FSB Border Guard Service.

According to the service, one of the detainees is the citizen of Khmelnytsk region who wanted to enter the peninsula through the Russian checkpoint Dzhankoi.

The FSB stated that a 40-year-old Ukrainian “was put on the federal wanted list since April 2019 for the large-scale fraud committed in the territory of the peninsula”.

Besides, a Crimean citizen was detained at the Russian checkpoint Armyansk when he wanted to leave the peninsula. According to FSB, “he is on the wanted list since 2016 for committing a theft with inflicting significant damage”.

The men were passed to Russian police.

In September, representatives of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation illegally detained an inspector of one of the divisions of the State Customs Service of Ukraine. The man was detained while crossing the Ukrainian-Russian border at the Shebekino checkpoint. During the inspection of his car, officers of the Russian special service allegedly found dual-purpose goods in it.
