Two Ukrainian sailors released from pirate captivity, - Foreign Minister

Two Ukrainian sailors will return home from the pirate captivity, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin reported on Twitter.  

‘We start 2019 with good news: two crew members from ARK TZE and ANUKET AMBER vessels are returning home from the pirate captivity,’ reads the message. 

They are last from the twelve released Ukrainian sailors, kept by the pirates since 2018.

In November 2018, the pirates captured ARK TZE and ANUKET AMBER vessels during the assault near West Africa. 

As we previously reported, the Ukrainian sailor from Pomerenia Sky container carrier captured by Nigerian pirates in late October was released on December 19.  

Recently, sailor Valerii Zubytsky returned back home to Odesa after being captured with part of the team of the Swiss merchant ship MV Glarus by Nigerian pirates.
