Two Ukrainian border guards disappear on Russian border in Sumy region

Two employees of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine disappeared on Tuesday in Sumy region near the border with Russia, reported the press service of the department.

"Two officers of the Znob-Novhorodske border guard department of the Sumy border detachment monitored the border section yesterday. At about 8:00 pm the connection with them was lost. At the moment, the State Border Service is currently searching for missing servicemen and trying to locate," the statement said.

Law enforcers were informed of the disappearance.

Also, the Border Guard Service checks information of Russian media about FSB’s detention of two alleged violators of the border - employees of the Sumy border detachment.

“All the circumstances are investigated," the service department assures.

As it was reported earlier Ukrainain court arrested two Russian border guards who got lost in Ukraine for 15 days. This was announced by the Ukraine’s State Border Guard Service.

The hearing of Kalanchaksky court on two Russian servicemen already took place. Based on the information of Border Guard Service, they were arrested for 15 days, as Border Guard Service Speaker Oleh Slobodyan reported.
