People suffered from fractured bones as a result of an explosion

When eliminating the consequences of fire at the ammo depot in Kalynivka, two people were injured, as Oleksandr Kutovoy, Head of press service of the State Emergency Service in Vinnytsia region, told 112.UA.

“Two people were hospitalized as a result of an explosion at the depot. They suffered from fractured bones as a result of an explosion. There is no information as to threat to their lives, they are getting better. We can say that the worst was avoided – no losses of life occurred,” Kutovoy said.

He added that at the moment, 1-2 explosions can be heard in Kalynivka in half the day.

“These explosions don’t pose threat to lives of people. 108 people and 41 pieces of equipment are working on site,” he said.

As it was reported earlier, fire at the ammunition storages in Kalynivka of Vinnytsia region began at 22:00 on September 26. The fire was the cause of many explosions of the ammunition. Two women suffered in the result of the incident and were hospitalized. Almost 30 000 local citizens were evacuated from the dangerous area.

Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman reported on September 28 that the explosions in Kalynivka ceased and the rescuers finished the clearing of the settlements. The evacuated citizens began to come back after 15:00 on September 28.
