Two cases of Delta coronavirus strain are actually observed in Zakarpattia region. The test results of two more people are expected. This was announced by the director of the regional infectious diseases hospital in Uzhgorod Mykhailo Polyak, Suspilne reports.
"On June 24, we sent four tests of people suspected of having a Delta strain to Kyiv and Kyiv to a European laboratory for testing. Two results came positive, we expect two more results. We don't know when they will be," Polyak said.
The results of the tests, according to the director of the regional infectious diseases hospital, were received today, July 14.
Meanwhile, the quarantine for counteraction Delta strain has started to act in Ukraine on July 2. The measures will concern people, who come from the countries, where this variant of coronavirus is spread.
According to the renewed rules, people who come from India, the UK, Northern Ireland, Russia, and Portugal or who stayed in these countries at least seven days during the last two weeks have to hold express tests for antigens for coronavirus for entrance to Ukraine.
If the test is negative, people are allowed to enter Ukraine.
