Near one of the mall in Kyiv the unknown fought with the Turks. It was reported by sport.ua. The Metropolitan Police confirmed the attack on Turkish fans, that took place this morning, on December 6 in the city center, reports UNN.
A group of Ukrainian hooligans with no marks attacked several Turkish fans in the center of Kyiv near the metro station named after Leo Tolstoy. They took Turks’ club scarves by force. The hooligans then ran to the subway.
For now it is clear that they broke fingers of one of the Turks. A few crews of patrol police and ambulance arrived at the scene.
"The incident happened,” the press center of Kyiv’s police confirmed.
Law enforcement officers received eight reports of beatings of foreigners in the capital during the night, according to the information on the site of Kyiv’s National Police.
"Yesterday from 20:00 to 24:00 officers on duty of the Metropolitan Police has received eight reports from doctors that citizens of other states turned to them for help with injuries," according to the police.
The officers talked to all the victims through an interpreter. "The men aged from 21 to 37 years explained that they suffered injuries during fighting with unknown people on several streets, among them Khreshchatyk, Institutska, Baseyna, Velyka Vasylkivska,” the message noted.
The doctors confirmed bruises and fractures of victims, according to law enforcement officers. They were hospitalized and refused to write official statements.
"Now all reports are being investigated, and after that a juridical qualification of the events will be determined," the police summarized.
Earlier it was reported that rally blocked Grushevskogo Street in Kyiv. Traffic jams emerged in the city center.
