Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated that Turkey would stop offensive against Syria in case Kurdish fighters lay down arms and get out of the planned "safe" zone. Reuters reported that.

According to Erdogan, the quickest decision for the Kurdish militaries would be to bury the hatchet and retreat from the area. He also noted that the operation would be ended when "the safe zone" would be created. Turkey does not discuss other variants.
