Anders Aslund, an analyst at the Atlantic Council's American Center, said that Trump's attorney Rudolph Giuliani played an important role in withdrawing US Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch. Aslund stated this in the interview with The voice of America.

“Rudy Giuliani with the help of various intrigues demanded the release of a perfect ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch in just two weeks, what makes me outraged," said Aslund.

According to the analyst, Giuliani does not occupy a government post in the USA but is a private lawyer.

 “Rudy Giuliani would never be able to get an approval of the Congress with his international clients, whom he refuses to name,” Aslund added.

As we reported earlier, personal Trump’s attorney Rudy Giuliani canceled the planned trip to Ukraine and the meeting with Volodymyr Zelensky.

The reason for this decision was withering attacks accusing the attorney of seeking foreign assistance for President Trump’s re-election campaign in 2020 after he announced the visit.
